A Nationwide Building Society informou que seus pagamentos para outras sociedades de crédito imobiliário e bancos estão funcionando normalmente novamente após atrasos na sexta-feira.
Clientes da maior sociedade de crédito imobiliário do Reino Unido relataram uma série de problemas, incluindo transferências de dinheiro.
A Nationwide afirmou que o problema de TI foi resolvido, mas os atrasos nos pagamentos demoraram algumas horas para serem resolvidos, resultando em atrasos até a tarde de sexta-feira.
A empresa pediu desculpas pelos inconvenientes causados.
Posteriormente, enviou uma mensagem de texto aos clientes informando que “tudo voltou ao normal”.
A Nationwide afirmou que os problemas foram causados por trabalhos de manutenção planejados durante a noite, que ultrapassaram o tempo previsto, resultando na indisponibilidade da rede da empresa por mais tempo do que o esperado.
Um cliente disse à BBC que não conseguiu fazer pagamentos relacionados à sua hipoteca.
Richard Bagnall, de Cambridge, disse que estava tentando transferir dinheiro para outra sociedade de crédito imobiliário para resgatar sua hipoteca hoje.
“Isso tinha que ser feito hoje para evitar penalidades”, disse ele, acrescentando que era o último dia da taxa de juros fixa de sua hipoteca.
O site mostrou um “erro técnico” quando ele tentou fazer a transferência, mas não indicou que o pagamento estava em fila, disse ele.
Ele acabou levando um cheque para a filial da Cambridge Building Society, onde tem sua hipoteca, mas lhe disseram que talvez não fosse compensado até segunda-feira.
Em resposta a uma postagem no X, anteriormente Twitter, da Nationwide reconhecendo o problema, os clientes relataram uma série de problemas.
Uma pessoa disse que fez transferências, com o dinheiro saindo de sua conta, mas não entrando na conta para a qual foi enviado.
Outra pessoa afirmou ter tido problemas para comprar uma passagem de trem.
Muitas pessoas criticaram a Nationwide, chamando o incidente de “chocante” e “frustrante”.
Os serviços de cartão da empresa não foram afetados, e débitos diretos e ordens permanentes funcionaram normalmente.
A empresa está atualmente tentando comprar a Virgin Money em um acordo de £2,9 bilhões que criaria o segundo maior grupo de hipotecas e poupança do Reino Unido.
